2026 Cross-Border Charter · GBA Pricing
Greater Bay Area to Hong Kong
how much does a charter cost?
Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Zhuhai, Zhongshan… nine GBA cities to Hong Kong, each with a different port, drive time and price tier. This guide lays out every city's main port, drive time and price range in one table, so you can see at a glance roughly what your route costs.
01 — The short answer
Price comes down to two things:distance, and which port
A GBA-to-Hong-Kong charter price is essentially set by two factors: how far your city is from Hong Kong, and whether you cross on the east bank (Shenzhen Bay / Huanggang) or the west bank (HZMB). East-bank Shenzhen, Dongguan and Huizhou take Shenzhen Bay / Huanggang; west-bank Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Jiangmen take the HZMB; Guangzhou and Zhaoqing are farthest, so they cost most.
The table below shows a reference price range per city. The exact figure shifts with vehicle, port, time of day and one-way vs return — always go by your actual quote. This is here to set rough budget expectations.
02 — The price-tier table
Nine GBA cities port × drive time × price range

Price ranges are reference estimates in HKD per trip, shifting with vehicle (7-seat / business / luxury), port, one-way vs return, and time of day. 【TO FILL: our actual from-price per city】 Your quote is final. Drive times assume normal traffic and exclude port queue time.
03 — East bank vs west bank
Which side to cross, by your bank of the Pearl River estuary
Shenzhen Bay / Huanggang
Shenzhen, Dongguan and Huizhou sit on the east bank, so Shenzhen Bay or Huanggang flows best. Shenzhen is closest at ~1 hr; Dongguan and Huizhou 2–2.5 hr. For overnight crossings, take Huanggang (24 hours).
- Shenzhen: SZ Bay/Huanggang, ~1h
- Dongguan: SZ Bay, ~2h
- Huizhou: Liantang/SZ Bay, ~2.5h
HZMB (the bridge)
Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Jiangmen are on the west bank, where the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge is the most direct route, skipping the long detour via Humen Bridge. Zhuhai is closest at ~1 hr straight onto the bridge; Zhongshan and Jiangmen 2–2.5 hr.
- Zhuhai: Gongbei/Hengqin, ~1h
- Zhongshan: ~2h
- Jiangmen: ~2.5h
Guangzhou / Zhaoqing
Guangzhou can go via Shenzhen Bay or Nansha, around 2.5 hr; Zhaoqing is farthest, around 3.5 hr via the HZMB. For long distances, pick a comfortable 7-seat MPV that runs the whole way with no transfer.
- Guangzhou: SZ Bay/Nansha, ~2.5h
- Zhaoqing: HZMB, ~3.5h
- Long trips: Alphard reclining seats
04 — Beyond the price
Cheap or not hinges on what's included
On the same route, one quote looks low but bills the crossing fee, parking and waiting separately; another looks high but bundles everything. Always ask what's included when you compare.
Confirm four things before booking: is the crossing fee included, one-way or return, how waiting time is charged, and whether it's true door-to-door to your exact address. The core value of a dual-plate car is stay-in-vehicle, single-car transit — the time and effort saved there often matters more than the headline car price.
Tell us your departure city and Hong Kong destination, and we'll give an itemised price for that exact route — not a vague range.
05 — Frequently asked
GBA charter pricing, the questions we hear most
Are the prices in the table fixed?
No. The table shows reference ranges. The actual price shifts with vehicle (7-seat / business / luxury), port, one-way vs return, and time of day (overnight / holidays). Get a quote for your specific route at booking.
Why is Zhuhai similar to or cheaper than Dongguan?
Because Zhuhai goes straight onto the HZMB and arrives in about 1 hr — short distance. Dongguan, though east-bank, has to reach Shenzhen Bay first to cross, around 2 hr total. Price tracks actual drive time and port, not straight-line map distance.
How much more is return vs one-way?
Return is usually not double one-way — many operators discount returns since the driver avoids an empty return leg. State one-way or return at booking for the best quote.
Does the price include crossing fee and driver meals?
Bundling differs by operator. Before booking, clarify whether the crossing fee, parking, waiting time and driver costs are included. We give an itemised quote to avoid later add-ons. 【TO FILL: our standard bundle items】
Which vehicle is comfortable for long trips (Guangzhou/Zhaoqing)?
For trips over 2.5 hr, the 7-seat Alphard is the first choice — the reclining second row and good insulation let you rest the whole way. See our vehicle comparison.
