01 — The Concert

A six-night farewell at the venue that made him 歌手终极试炼场

For four decades the Hong Kong Coliseum has been the room where Cantopop careers are sealed — the "ultimate proving ground" where Alan Tam, Leslie Cheung, Anita Mui and Beyond wrote chapters of the genre's history. Now Tam returns for a six-show stand under the same in-the-round lights, with the audience pressed close on every side.

The numbers below are confirmed against the official ticketing and venue sources. Public sale timing was still pending at the time of writing — if you are travelling in for a specific night, lock the date first and let us shape the ride around it.

The Coliseum is an in-the-round bowl, so the same price tier can face the stage head-on or sit behind it. Seats are organised by four colour-coded gates and row numbers — find your gate colour, then your row. Tam's run uses the configuration the promoter announces per show; here are both layouts the venue supports.

Four-sided vs three-sided

四面台 (center stage) places the stage in the middle of the arena with seating wrapping all four sides — this is the classic Coliseum format and holds the most people, up to about 12,500. Every seat is relatively close, but "stage front" is a matter of which side you're on.

三面台 (end stage) pushes the stage to one end with the arena floor and stands facing it, holding up to about 7,000. Fewer seats, a clearer single "front", and a layout closer to a traditional concert hall.

How to read your ticket

Your ticket names a gate colour, a row number and a seat. Enter through the matching coloured gate — staff route you by colour, not by guesswork. Lower row numbers within a section sit closer to the rail.

Because the bowl is compact, sound is consistently strong throughout; the real trade-off is sightline angle to the stage, not distance. If a show runs center-stage, there's genuinely no bad block — only different views of the same close-up night.

03 — Getting There · 红馆交通

The show ends at the same minute for 12,500 people

The Coliseum sits right on top of Hung Hom Station, which sounds convenient until the encore finishes. Here's how the public options actually behave on a concert night — and where they break down.

By MTR, take the Tuen Ma Line or East Rail Line to Hung Hom Station (红磡站), leave by exit C3, D2, D3 or D4, and the venue is about a five-minute walk. It's the cleanest way in.

The way out is the problem. Twelve thousand people reach for the same turnstiles, escalators and taxi rank at once.

MTR · 港铁

Hung Hom Station

Tuen Ma Line & East Rail Line. Exits C3 / D2 / D3 / D4, ~5 min walk to the Coliseum.

  • Best inbound option
  • Heavy queues at egress
  • Last train cuts it fine for a 20:15 show

Stops at Hung Hom Station, PolyU and along Hung Hom South Road serve Kowloon, HK Island and the New Territories.

  • Special departures ~15 min after the show
  • Follow staff to the marshalled queues

Parking · 泊车

Two car parks, gone early

Hung Hom Station car park (atop the station, exit 5) and Fortune Metropolis car park (6 Metropolis Drive, near exit C).

  • Demand far exceeds spaces on show days
  • Arrive very early or don't risk it
  • Exit gridlock after the encore

"建议观众尽量提早到达,或考虑泊车转乘公共交通工具前往红馆。" — the official advice politely admits the truth: on a show night, driving yourself is the hard way.

There is a third option the guides don't mention, because it isn't public infrastructure — it's a car that's already waiting for you when the lights come up.

04 — The GOMACAO Move · 包车攻略

A car that's already waiting when the encore ends

If you're coming in from Macau, Zhuhai or Shenzhen for the show, the journey — not the seat — is what makes or breaks the night. A private cross-border charter puts a Mercedes-Benz V-Class at your border crossing, holds it through the concert, and meets you steps from the gate while everyone else queues for the MTR.

One vehicle, the whole night

From the moment you clear the border to the moment you're back at your hotel, it's the same driver and the same car. No re-booking the ride home in a crowd of twelve thousand.

How a show-night charter runs

01

Border pickup

We meet you at the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge port, Shenzhen Bay or Lok Ma Chau — passenger count and documents confirmed in advance.

02

Direct to 红馆

Straight to the Coliseum drop-off, timed to land before the 20:15 start with margin for traffic.

03

The car waits

Your driver stays on call for the whole show — no meter anxiety, no re-hailing in the post-encore surge.

04

Met at the gate

You walk out, the car is there, and you're moving while the station is still gridlocked.

05 — Good to Know · 常见问题

Questions we get before a Coliseum night

How early should the car arrive at the Coliseum?
For a 20:15 start we aim to drop you near the venue by around 19:15–19:30. That clears security and merchandise queues without standing around, and gives a buffer for cross-harbour traffic, which is unpredictable on event evenings.
Can the driver really wait through the whole concert?
Yes — that's the point of a private charter. The vehicle and driver are reserved for your group for the booked window, so there's no second booking and no surge pricing for the trip home. We coordinate a precise pickup point near the gate so you're not searching for the car in the crowd.
Which border crossings do you cover?
We run door-to-door from Macau and Zhuhai via the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge, and from Shenzhen via Shenzhen Bay or Lok Ma Chau. Tell us your origin and we'll route the pickup to the most efficient port for your timing.
What vehicle will we get?
Our concert default is the Mercedes-Benz V-Class — six comfortable seats with room for luggage, ideal for a group heading in for one night. For larger parties we'll quote a suitable alternative when you share the headcount.
I don't have tickets yet — can you still help?
Booking the charter and booking the show are separate. Lock your show date through the official priority or public sale first; once you know the night, send it to us and we'll build the ride around it. Priority booking opens 22 June 2026 for eligible CCB (Asia) cards; public sale is still to be announced.
Is parking near 红馆 really that bad?
On a normal day the Hung Hom Station and Fortune Metropolis car parks are fine. On a 12,500-capacity show night, spaces fill early and the exit clogs badly afterward — the official guidance itself suggests park-and-ride or public transport. A charter sidesteps the whole problem.
